Project renovation to the seven story, two million sf, Government Accountability Office, which relocated and increased the size of its childcare facilities.
The Scope of Services included Architectural, Interior Design, engineering services and Construction management services. The work was a 53% expansion increasing capacity from 60 to 92 children. The project was completed in two phases to allow for continued use of the facility during construction. The interiors solution provides for innovative design elements such as the tree we fashioned below and the use of sustainable materials in this child environment. We programmed the project by interviewing the director and facilities’ personnel to establish an accurate scope of work. The project included converting office space and toilet areas into this new vibrant childcare center with abundant natural light.
